Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information DutyGlobal collects, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

What We Collect

Usage Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect aggregated usage data such as:

  • Pages visited
  • Calculator interactions
  • Referral sources
  • Device and browser information

This data is used to improve site performance and user experience. We do not use GA4 to identify individual users.

Session Analytics & Heatmaps

We use Microsoft Clarity to analyse user interaction patterns, including:

  • Click behaviour
  • Scroll behaviour
  • Session replays

Clarity automatically masks sensitive form fields and payment inputs. The data collected is used solely to improve usability and performance.

Server Logs

Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically collects standard server logs including:

  • IP addresses
  • Request timestamps
  • User-agent strings

These logs are used for security monitoring, debugging, and system reliability.

Account Information

If you create an account or sign in, we collect and store:

  • Your email address
  • Authentication data required to manage your session
  • Subscription status and plan details

This information is used solely to provide access to the service.

Billing and Payments

Payments and subscriptions are processed securely by Stripe.

We do not store your full credit card number or sensitive payment details on our servers. Stripe processes payments in compliance with PCI DSS standards.

We receive limited billing information from Stripe, such as:

  • Subscription status
  • Invoice history
  • Last four digits of your card

This information is used to manage your account and display billing details.

How We Share Data

We share data only with trusted third-party service providers necessary to operate DutyGlobal:

  • Google Analytics (GA4) — usage analytics
  • Microsoft Clarity — session analytics
  • Vercel — hosting and infrastructure
  • Stripe — payment processing

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

International Data Transfers

DutyGlobal operates globally. Data may be processed or stored in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards and contractual protections to protect personal data transferred internationally.

Data Retention

We retain account information for as long as your account is active.

Analytics and session data are retained according to the retention policies of Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.

Server logs are retained according to Vercel's infrastructure policies.

If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data from our active systems within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain information (e.g., financial records).

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including:

  • HTTPS encryption across all pages
  • Secure authentication methods
  • Infrastructure hosted on Vercel with automatic updates
  • Payment data handled exclusively by Stripe

While no system can guarantee absolute security, we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities
