DutyGlobal

Affiliate Disclosure

DutyGlobal participates in affiliate and referral programs with shipping software companies. This page explains exactly what that means, who our partners are, and how it affects what you read on this site.

The short version

Some of the outbound links on DutyGlobal — the ones in our “Sponsored partner” cards and any link explicitly marked as sponsored — are affiliate links. If you click one of those links and sign up for the partner's product, DutyGlobal may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you.

This complies with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255), the UK CMA's guidance on social media endorsements, and equivalent rules in other jurisdictions where our readers live.

How affiliate revenue shapes (and doesn't shape) our content

  • We never sell rankings. Where we list multiple tools (e.g. on a comparison page), the order reflects our honest assessment of fit, not commission size.
  • Our calculators stay neutral. Dimensional weight, CBM, chargeable weight, landed cost, and HS code outputs are deterministic math from public formulas — no partner pays to influence them.
  • We disclose at the point of click. Every sponsored card on the site is labelled before the link, not buried in the footer. This page is the long-form version of that label.
  • We only place partners we'd use ourselves. If a tool stops being useful, we remove it — the affiliate relationship is downstream of the recommendation, not the other way round.

Who we partner with

Easyship

Active partner

Easyship combines multi-courier rate shopping with built-in duty and tax calculation, which makes it a natural next step after estimating landed cost on DutyGlobal.

Commission model: Affiliate program — DutyGlobal earns a referral commission when you sign up via our link, at no extra cost to you.

Shippo

Active partner

Shippo focuses on label rates and multi-carrier workflows, which is the layer you reach for once dimensional and chargeable weight are nailed down.

Commission model: Affiliate program via Shippo's partner program — DutyGlobal earns a commission when you sign up, at no extra cost to you.

ShipBob

Application pending

ShipBob is a 3PL — it's the right next step once you outgrow self-managed fulfillment and need warehousing across regions.

Commission model: PartnerStack referral program (2% of referred shipping spend for 12 months) — DutyGlobal's partner application is pending; the CTA currently points to ShipBob's public site without a referral tag.

If you'd rather not use an affiliate link

Every partner we list is a publicly searchable company. You can always go directly to their website by typing the company name into your browser instead of clicking through a DutyGlobal link. The price you pay is the same; we just don't earn a referral credit on that signup.

Questions or corrections

If you spot something on DutyGlobal that looks like an undisclosed affiliate link, or you have a question about how a specific recommendation was made, please email us via the contact page. We treat disclosure issues as bugs and fix them quickly.
